Dhu
The word Dhul-Qarnayn is Arabic. It is formed by combining the words Dhul-Qarnayn (e)l and Qarnayn. Dhul-Qarnayn means "owner and possessor". Qarnayn means "horn, forelock, hill, time, sun". The word Qarnayn is the deuteronomy of Qarna, meaning two. Accordingly, the word Dhul-Qarnayn is translated as "owner of two horns".[7]
